“I am really excited to work with Carl and the CU Boulder team on bringing this new sensor to market and building the framework to collect, analyze, and share this data with agriculture customers in a way that helps them improve their operations. Currently, there is nothing on the market that tracks microbial activity in place like our sensor does,” says Beitz, the CEO of BioSensor Solutions.

“We think this sensor is the first of many types of 2-D printed sensors that will help us detect and measure microbial activity in the world around us. This could easily expand beyond agriculture to include mitigation of carbon sequestration and retail food safety issues,” says Kalin, the President of BioSensor Solutions.

The University of Colorado is a national leader in startup creation with a growing suite of entrepreneurial resources giving innovative researchers opportunities to spin ideas into businesses.
